Kia ora and welcome! My name is Trudy, and I’m thrilled to share a little bit about myself and my journey with you.

I’m a proud mother of two energetic boys and happily married to my husband, Nic. Our family has called the beautiful region of Nelson home for over 10 years now, and we truly enjoy all that this stunning area offers—from camping and fishing trips to travelling and building lasting memories together.

My career path has been anything but conventional, but it has always been guided by my love for movement, connection, and growth. I began my professional journey as a contemporary dancer at 18, which allowed me the incredible opportunity to travel the world. It was through dance that I was first introduced to yoga—a practice that quickly became integral to both my physical and mental wellbeing.

As life progressed and I started a family, my passions shifted toward early childhood education. I went on to build and manage a preschool, a role I loved and dedicated myself to for 8 years. Throughout that time, yoga was my anchor, helping me manage the stresses of business ownership and family life, providing both physical relief and mental clarity.

Over the last few years, yoga has evolved into my main focus. I completed my Vinyasa and Yin teacher training and have been teaching for the past 3 years. The practice has brought me so much peace and joy, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to share this with others. Hosting yoga retreats has become one of my greatest passions, as it combines everything I love—guiding students in their yoga journey, preparing nutritious meals, fostering meaningful connections, and offering a space for reflection and rejuvenation.

I am so excited to share my experiences, skills, and the love for yoga with you through my classes and retreats. It’s my hope that you’ll find peace, strength, and balance in your practice, just as I have along my own journey.

Thank you for being here, and I look forward to connecting with you soon!

With love and gratitude,
Trudy x
